Mad Casino cashback review — the best-value feature on the site

Reviewed by Callum Reid · Last checked 7 October 2026

Weekly cashback scores 8.5 out of 10, the highest mark in our review. It is simple, it pays in cash and it does not need wagering. It is also easy to misunderstand, so here is exactly how it is calculated.

How the calculation works

The casino adds up your settled stakes and returns from Monday to Sunday. If the week finished in loss, 20% of that net loss is credited on the following Monday. The credit lands in the cash balance, not the bonus balance, so there is nothing to play through before you can withdraw it. The weekly maximum is €500, which corresponds to a net loss of €2,500.

Net is the important word. A week in which you lose €300 on Tuesday and win back €200 on Friday is a €100 net loss, and the cashback is €20, not €60.

A worked example

WeekNet resultCashback credited
Week 1€150 loss€30
Week 2€80 profit€0
Week 3€3,200 loss€500 (cap reached)

Week three shows why the cap matters only to heavy players. For most readers, 20% of a modest loss is the whole story.

Cashback against the welcome stack

A deposit bonus gives you more to play with up front but ties it to 30x wagering. Cashback gives you less, later, but with no conditions. For a cautious player the second is often worth more, because the money is genuinely yours on Monday morning. Check the terms to see whether cashback runs on weeks when a welcome bonus is active and whether bonus-funded play counts towards the net loss. Those two details decide how the offers interact.

Limits and caveats

  • Cashback softens losses; it does not reverse them. A 20% return on a loss is still an 80% loss.
  • Do not raise your stakes because cashback exists. That is the most common way a sensible feature turns into a reason to play longer.
  • The cap and calculation window are set by the operator and can change. Read the current promotion terms before relying on them.

We deducted one point because the terms do not make the interaction with active bonuses obvious enough, and half a point for the cap. The structure itself is about as fair as casino promotions get.
