How we review
Every score on this site comes from the same ten-area scorecard. This page explains the weights, the deductions and the limits of what a review can tell you.
The ten areas and their weights

| Welcome bonus terms | 15% | Wagering basis and multiple, stake caps, weighting, expiry, exclusions |
| Ongoing value | 10% | Cashback, reloads and loyalty, judged on conditions not size |
| Games library | 15% | Supplier quality, breadth, RTP transparency |
| Live casino | 5% | Supplier, table range, limits |
| Sportsbook | 5% | Coverage and how it fits the account |
| Payments and currency | 10% | Methods, minimums, fees, currency |
| Withdrawals | 10% | Stated processing times, limits, verification order |
| Customer support | 10% | Channels, hours, escalation procedure |

How a score is built
Each area starts at ten. We deduct for terms or features that reduce value or safety for a typical UK player, and we write down the reason for each deduction. The overall score is the weighted average. We do not award points for the size of a headline bonus, because headline size and real value often move in opposite directions.
What we cannot test
We do not claim to have measured things we have not. Individual withdrawal times, support response times and the experience of a particular account vary, and a handful of tests would not be representative. Where an area depends on such things, we score the published terms and tell readers how to check them with small amounts of their own money.
Independence
Scores are set before any commercial question is considered, and the operator does not see a review before it is published. See our affiliate disclosure for how the site is funded.
Revisiting scores
We recheck the terms each month and whenever we learn of a material change. The "last checked" date on each review records the most recent check.
