Content standards
These are the standards a page must meet before it goes live and every time it is updated.
Accuracy
Figures come from the operator's published terms and are checked under our fact-checking policy. Advertised claims are labelled as advertised.
Balance
Every review states weaknesses as clearly as strengths. A page that lists only positives is not finished. For this operator, the licence position and the currency cost are always mentioned wherever a reader might be deciding whether to sign up.
Plain English
We explain terms such as wagering, game weighting and net loss the first time they appear, use worked examples instead of jargon, and keep sentences short. If a reader needs a dictionary to follow a review, the review has failed.
Responsible gambling
Every page carries an 18+ notice and signposts free help. We do not describe gambling as a source of income, encourage chasing losses or suggest that cashback makes losing acceptable. Because GAMSTOP does not cover this operator, we say so wherever self-exclusion is relevant.
Accessibility
Pages use proper headings, descriptive link text, sufficient colour contrast and tables with header rows, so they work with screen readers and on small screens.
Commercial language
Calls to action are clearly marked and kept apart from analysis. We avoid urgency language such as "limited time" unless the operator's terms state a deadline.
Updating old pages
Standards apply to what is already published as well as to new pages. During each monthly check we re-read older reviews for figures that have drifted out of date, links that no longer work and wording that no longer matches the operator's terms. A page that cannot be brought up to standard is withdrawn until it can, rather than left online with information we know is stale. The same applies to images and tables: a scorecard that no longer reflects the text beside it is corrected at the same time.
